Forberedelser igang til nyt ekstra kursus i Kawama - Preparations for new extra course at Kawama
An extra course is most requested this year, therefore we will hold a course on Tuesday the 8th of August for the small-scale farmers at Kawama covering womens clubs and farmers cooperatives. The planning is now going on, - the pens and notebooks, and soft drinks are bought and the meat pies are ordered together with the seed donations. So now only preparing the certificates and the whiteboards for the presentations are remaining.
Preparations are in full swing for the extra course in Kawama.
This means that the mobile whiteboards are made ready to put on our moible "wall" meaning our car. We have one with the Business Generation Model Canvas when we talk about what considerations the individual participant can make regarding planning and strategy. The second whiteboard shows the BCG Matrix in relation to the participants getting the most benefit from crops and livestock. The third shows a year wheel when the participants have to plan the sowing and harvesting of vegetables, so that the participants can plan to sow in the peak season and thus get the best price for their vegetables. We use the last whiteboard to show good examples of simple bookkeeping, so that the participants can follow which crops and livestock are most profitable for them in which periods of the year.
When the participants have completed the course, they receive a diploma that gives them access to a light lunch and a portion of seeds, so they have the opportunity to test the new knowledge with minimal risk. In general we will bring the printet diplomas, but this time we had to improvise and get an adapted version printed here in Chingola, since we were not prepared for an extra course.
